Light
Large-scale work changes how we see the city—and how we move through it together.
About the event
Public art, live energy and a downtown transformed after dark.
Why Neon Nights
Decorative lighting has become an important part of Elkhart’s evolving cityscape—helping create a downtown that feels vibrant, welcoming and alive after dark.
Neon Nights takes that energy further. Across three blocks of Main Street and the Central Green, light-based sculptures from internationally recognized artists and terrific local talent will turn familiar places into something unexpected.
Add entertainment, food and beverages, and you have the biggest and brightest little event downtown Elkhart has ever seen.
The idea in three words
Large-scale work changes how we see the city—and how we move through it together.
Recognized artists and local talent bring bold, accessible creative work into public space.
A shared experience gives residents and visitors another reason to meet downtown.
Quality of place
“Quality of Place is about creating a community where people want to live, work, visit and spend time together. Neon Nights is another example of how we are continuing to activate our downtown in creative and unexpected ways.”
